A cottage in the "gorges de l’Ardèche"

The Ardèche Gorges Nature Reserve enables you to discover an outsanding scenery of cliffs and the Ardèche river which runs from peaceful backwaters to challenging broken waters under the mediterranean sun.

At the outset of the Ardèches Gorges, Châmes is a hamlet with its own distinctive character, part of the Pont d’Arc site (classified Grand site de France), and 6 km away from Vallon Pont d’Arc ( the nearest town with shops and all services).

Thanks to this unique location, Châmes has been able to keep its traditional countryside architecture intact for 2 centuries for the full enjoyment of old stones amateurs.

This is in this superb area that we will welcome you in our "gîte". From there, you will have plenty of opportunities such as hiking, enjoying the 5mn away Ardèche river, to swim, to canoe or go fishing. Other outdoor activities like rock-climbing, canyoning and via-ferrata are very close at hand.

The lodgings are part of a 1760 farmhouse, fully restored. It’s a 30m2 "gîte" ideal for 2 persons with a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a double-bed, a shower and separate toilets and an access to the deck overlooking the cliff, in a very peaceful atmosphere.
